Great Barrier Reef with Cruise Whitsundays
“We checked in at 7:30 am for an 8:00 am departure from the Port of Airlie Marina. Once we departed, Cruise offered tea, coffee, biscuits, and water for the whole day. We travelled across to Hamilton Island to pick up guests and then we were on our way out to the Reef. You do have the opportunity to booked diving, guided snorkelling and the scenic flight over the heart reef. These are additional extra add ons. While we were travelling to our destination, Cruise Whitsundays provided us with morning tea, which was platters of fresh fruit.
One we got to the pontoon, we went snorkelling, which was fantastic! It had been around 12 months since my last trip and the reef was in very good shape, new coral growing everywhere, lots of fish swimming around.
Lunch service is now available from 11:00 am, which is great so you can have some lunch before you snorkel and then you have time to have another bite after your snorkelling activity.
I went on the new underwater sub, which was good I just didn’t like the seating on the new sub, a bit uncomfortable.
We left the reef in the afternoon and had afternoon tea on the way back.
